David Day

Mr. Day brings over twenty years of consulting, commercialization, economic development, licensing, and technology transfer experience to Radyus, having served as Assistant Vice President on the University of Florida’s Office of Technology Licensing from 2001 to 2017. He oversaw UF’s commercialization efforts through licensing, incubation, and related activities. With a background as the Executive Director of the University of Alabama in Birmingham Research Foundation prior to his time at UF, Day's role as principal consultant for LevelSet Capital, and membership on various boards and advisory committees, including the Southeast Life Sciences Association, BioFlorida, and the Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention, enables him to provide valuable guidance to businesses in the biotechnology and technology transfer space.

His expertise was further demonstrated during his tenure at UF, where he led the university's technology transfer program to be recognized as the #3 program in the U.S. by the Milken Institute in 2017. The Florida Innovation Hub and the Sid Martin Biotechnology Institute, under his direction, received top global honors, with the former named Incubator of the Year by the National Business Incubation Association in 2013 and 2019, the only program to achieve this distinction. Day also holds degrees from Auburn University and the University of Alabama, and is recognized as one of the 25 most influential people in the Southeast Technology Community, a recipient of the Special Volunteer Recognition Award for the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce, and an Honorary Inductee to the Florida Blue Key Honor Society.
