Laura Soucek

Dr. Soucek's career in cancer research spans continents and institutions. She obtained her PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology at Sapienza University of Rome and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cancer Research Institute at UCSF under the guidance of Prof. Gerard Evan. Her dedication and expertise were further recognized as she assumed the role of an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) from 2015 onwards.

 

Since 2014, she has been an ICREA Research Professor, contributing significantly to the field of Myc-related cancer therapies. This wealth of experience culminated in her founding of Peptomyc S.L. biotech company, first ever to develop and demonstrate clinical efficacy and safety of anti-Myc cell penetrating peptides for cancer therapeutics. Dr. Soucek's role on Radyus' Scientific Advisory Board solidifies her position as a thought leader in oncology, driving advancements in therapeutic interventions targeting Myc and cancer.
